Overview
57 Leaf Clover improves luck-affected chance effects by giving them favorable rerolls. It does not add the same fixed percentage to every effect, and it does not improve every random-looking outcome in Risk of Rain 2.
How the reroll works
One Clover gives one additional favorable roll if an applicable effect initially fails. Each additional Clover supplies another favorable reroll. The chance is evaluated separately for each effect, so one successful item effect does not prevent another failed effect from using its rerolls.
For an eligible effect with probability p and x Clovers, the documented formula is 1 - (1 - p)^(x + 1). That is a calculation from the reference rule, not a gameplay measurement.
| Eligible base chance | One Clover | Two Clovers |
|---|---|---|
| 10% | 19% | 27.1% |
| 25% | 43.75% | 57.8125% |
Use the actual eligible probability for the attack. Proc coefficients and other conditions can mean the applicable probability is different from a headline item description.
Examples it can support
AtG Missile Mk. 1, Ukulele, Tri-Tip Dagger and critical-strike chance are among the luck-affected effects described by the Wiki entry. Clover supports their chance to occur; another damage item may instead increase the result after it occurs.
This is why a proc-focused inventory benefits differently from a loadout built mostly around deterministic skill damage. Count the effects that use luck before treating the Clover as the same improvement on every run.
Important exclusions
Tougher Times is explicitly unaffected by luck. Chest contents and spawns, ordinary Shrine of Chance outcomes, Artifact Key drops and Artifact of Sacrifice item drops are also excluded by the reference entry.
Threshold triggers are another separate concept. A Band that requires a qualifying heavy hit cannot have that threshold requirement turned into a random chance by Clover. The item also cannot correct an attack that misses or an enemy outside an effect's range.
Purity and corruption
Purity supplies unfavorable luck. Positive Clover luck and negative Purity luck cancel each other: equal copy counts return the net luck effect to zero. Compare that interaction with the cooldown reduction Purity supplies before adding either item to an existing plan.
Benthic Bloom corrupts all Clovers and replaces their rerolls with random stage-start upgrades. That can remove lower-rarity items the current build relies on. Higher rarity is not a promise of the same function.
The Long Road challenge unlocks Clover's item-pool access. The database's item overview distinguishes pool unlocks from collecting a logbook entry. This entry uses sourced reference mechanics and exact mathematical examples; it makes no loot-quality, universal ranking or in-game testing claim.
