Choose and configure AutoSprint
Use the package for the job described below; practical test steps are recommendations, not reported game tests.
AutoSprint changes the sprint input so sprinting can resume automatically. The score/AutoSprint package is tagged client-side and exposes body/state exclusions and camera settings. It does not make every attack agile or eliminate survivor-specific sprint restrictions.
Test the skills you actually use
After installing, check the movement, primary, secondary and charged skills of your chosen survivor in a short run. If a skill cancels unexpectedly, isolate the sprint mod in a small profile and inspect its exclusions rather than adding another automatic-sprint plugin on top.
The 1.5.3 changelog says the new Engineer skill and Acolyte skills were blacklisted. It fixes Toggle Walk and a hook. Version 1.5.2 was updated for DLC4, but recorded known problems with hold-to-walk and omnisprint. Read the newest notes before carrying an older configuration forward.
Set the camera behavior deliberately
The README describes a forced sprint FOV option, enabled by default, and a separate option that disables the normal sprint FOV increase. The forced setting takes precedence. Disable both for vanilla FOV behavior. Test the resulting view while moving and charging skills; do not interpret a camera change as a change to actual movement speed.
For survivors whose timing matters, compare with the normal Huntress movement guide or Railgunner guide. Those guides describe the base game, while this page records an optional input modification.
Keep one sprint system in the profile
Using overlapping sprint plugins makes an input issue harder to isolate. That is a troubleshooting recommendation, not a documented universal conflict. Use the profile installation guide to keep a baseline and record package/configuration versions when reporting a bug.
Original package evidence
Checked October 13, 2026: score/AutoSprint README, declared requirements, release versions and upload dates, author changelog, and source repository and licence.
Evidence limit
Package names, release dates and dependency declarations were checked against author Thunderstore pages on October 13, 2026. Features, fixes and multiplayer scope are author statements. This site did not launch the game, test a modded lobby, resume a save or verify all DLC combinations; testedVersions is intentionally empty.
Declared requirements
Dependency versions are author package references captured for this release. Let the manager resolve its dependency graph; these values are not instructions to downgrade a working profile.
| Requirement | Declared version | Why it is needed | Evidence |
|---|---|---|---|
| bbepis-BepInExPack | 5.4.2121 | Loads the input plugin. | Declared dependencyPartially verified |
| RiskofThunder-HookGenPatcher | 1.2.9 | Supplies runtime hooks. | Declared dependencyPartially verified |
Install and check the feature
Run one small profile first, then add packages only after verifying the behavior you need.
Use a separate profile
Create or duplicate a Risk of Rain 2 profile in r2modman. Keep a working baseline and note the game/storefront selected.

Known limits and setup interactions
Author-documented limitations are distinguished from troubleshooting recommendations that have not been reproduced here.
| Package or setting | Interaction | What to check | Evidence |
|---|---|---|---|
| New Engineer and Acolyte skill states | The 1.5.3 author notes blacklist these skills from automatic sprinting. | Expect exclusions; test the actual selected skill rather than assuming all skills behave identically. | Partially verified |
| Another auto-sprint plugin | Overlapping input systems make diagnosis harder. A universal incompatibility has not been established here. | Use one automatic-sprint system in a small test profile before combining input mods. | Partially verified |
Questions about AutoSprint
Read the author’s current instructions if a newer release changes these details.
Does it make every skill usable while sprinting?
No. There are state exclusions, including new Engineer and Acolyte skills noted in 1.5.3. Test the chosen survivor’s skill set.
Partially verifiedHow do I restore vanilla FOV behavior?
Should I use a tutorial for 1.5.2 settings?
Report a reproducible package problem
The support link opens the author’s repository. It does not submit a report automatically.
Include the reproducible setup
Record game/storefront, package version, dependency list and the smallest profile that reproduces the problem. Attach the relevant loader log when the author requests it.
