Overview
Ukulele spreads damage to other targets after an eligible hit. It fills an on-hit group-coverage role, which differs from an item that needs a kill before spreading damage. Its Void counterpart, Polylute, changes that role rather than simply increasing every part of it.
Trigger, targets and damage
The listed chance is 25%. A successful chain deals 80% TOTAL damage to up to three other targets within the listed 20m reach. The triggering attack's proc coefficient affects its activation chance, and the resulting lightning has a 0.2 proc coefficient in the community Wiki entry.
Those proc rules prevent a simple promise of one full-chance chain for every damage number on screen. Use the actual attack pattern when evaluating the item. A hit effect can help before the first enemy dies, but enemies still need to be within the chain's reach.
Additional copies improve coverage
A second copy raises the listed target count to five and range to 22m. A third raises them to seven and 24m. Further copies keep adding two targets and 2m of range.
The listed 25% chance and 80% TOTAL damage do not grow with these stacks. More reach and targets are valuable when fights actually contain those targets. They do not turn the extra copy into a directly proportional single-target damage increase.
Contrast the first hit with the first kill
Gasoline and Will-o'-the-wisp begin from a kill. Ukulele begins from a hit chance. If your loadout struggles to finish the first enemy, an on-kill item does not solve that opening step automatically.
Conversely, if one kill already clears a group reliably, another group-coverage stack may solve less than a mobility or defensive pickup. Consider whether the next problem is a crowd, an isolated durable enemy, or staying alive long enough to attack again.
Polylute replaces the coverage pattern
Polylute corrupts all held and future Ukuleles. Its listed effect strikes one target repeatedly for 60% TOTAL damage per strike, with additional copies adding repeated strikes. It removes Ukulele's original spreading chain.
That swap can help when a durable target is the missing part of the build. It can also leave the run short of group coverage. Check whether Gasoline, another on-kill effect or your own skills already handle the targets that Ukulele previously reached.
Keep the decision tied to the inventory
57 Leaf Clover supports Ukulele's chance through favorable rerolls. It does not change what a Ukulele stack adds. Keep the two effects distinct when comparing pickups.
Use Ukulele for documented on-hit coverage and evaluate conversion according to the fight you need to solve. The item overview explains why trigger, stacking and replacement deserve separate checks; this entry does not invent a universal tier or a measured DPS estimate.
