Choose and configure r2modman
Use the package for the job described below; practical test steps are recommendations, not reported game tests.
r2modman is a desktop manager for your Risk of Rain 2 profiles. It installs packages, edits configurations and exports a setup for friends. Install the application first, then choose the game and storefront; it is not a DLL that belongs in BepInEx/plugins. The author’s package page documents Windows and Linux downloads.
A profile should have one clear purpose
Create a small interface profile before a large survivor pack. Add one desired feature, launch it and test that feature. A successful menu launch establishes only that startup worked. Keep a duplicate of a working profile when trying a new package or update.
For a full walkthrough, use the PC setup guide. Its manager screenshots illustrate profile selection and launch controls; they are not a compatibility test of the packages in this directory.
Share the setup that you actually run
Use the manager’s profile export after checking the installed packages and configurations. Ask the group to import that export into a fresh profile. If someone changes a package afterward, compare the installed versions before troubleshooting a lobby.
The 3.2.20 changelog records fixes to large-profile installation performance and mod sorting. That is a manager update, not a declaration that an individual Risk of Rain 2 plugin supports Hallowed Concepts.
Identify the failing layer
If the app cannot find the game, check the selected storefront and installation path. If the game launches but a mod fails, record the package and dependency versions, then follow that mod’s author guidance. The author’s manager wiki covers manager problems; our BepInExPack page explains the loader’s separate job.
Original package evidence
Checked October 13, 2026: ebkr/r2modman README, declared requirements, release versions and upload dates, author changelog, and source repository and licence.
Evidence limit
Package names, release dates and dependency declarations were checked against author Thunderstore pages on October 13, 2026. Features, fixes and multiplayer scope are author statements. This site did not launch the game, test a modded lobby, resume a save or verify all DLC combinations; testedVersions is intentionally empty.
Declared requirements
Dependency versions are author package references captured for this release. Let the manager resolve its dependency graph; these values are not instructions to downgrade a working profile.
| Requirement | Declared version | Why it is needed | Evidence |

Install and check the feature
Run one small profile first, then add packages only after verifying the behavior you need.
Download the application
Use the author’s Thunderstore page or GitHub releases. On Windows, run the setup executable from the archive; choose the documented Linux build on Linux.
Partially verifiedSelect the game and create a profile
Choose Risk of Rain 2 and the correct storefront, then create a dedicated profile before adding packages.
Partially verifiedLaunch and export the intended setup
Use Start modded for the selected profile, check its actual feature behavior, and export that profile after checking the package/configuration list.

Files, release changes and author terms
The download is an original Thunderstore archive. Release changes are paraphrased from the author’s changelog.

Original versioned Thunderstore download, checked against the package’s Versions page. Displayed archive size is the rounded package-page value; no local binary is supplied.
- Fixed a regression introduced by the removed-package warning in 3.2.19.
- Improved large-profile install/uninstall performance and mod sorting.
- Added a mod-list refresh progress indicator.
Read the source repository and bundled licence notices before reuse; installing a package is separate from redistributing it.
Known limits and setup interactions
Author-documented limitations are distinguished from troubleshooting recommendations that have not been reproduced here.
| Package or setting | Interaction | What to check | Evidence |
|---|---|---|---|
| Manually installed plugins | A plugin installed outside the managed profile can make the installed list an incomplete picture of the launched setup. This is a troubleshooting boundary, not a tested package conflict. | Check the manual installation separately before interpreting a manager disable test. | Partially verified |
Questions about r2modman
Read the author’s current instructions if a newer release changes these details.
Does r2modman add a new survivor?
No. It manages packages. Install the particular survivor package in a profile and read that author’s dependencies and multiplayer requirements.
Partially verifiedDoes an export prove co-op compatibility?
Does the manager’s update date mean my mods work?
Report a reproducible package problem
The support link opens the author’s repository. It does not submit a report automatically.
Include the reproducible setup
Record game/storefront, package version, dependency list and the smallest profile that reproduces the problem. Attach the relevant loader log when the author requests it.
