Overview
Weeping Fungus heals while sprinting and corrupts Bustling Fungus. It is often easier to use during a moving run, but it removes the original stationary healing zones from every converted copy. That loss matters especially for Engineer's stationary turrets.
Healing follows the sprint condition
One copy heals for 2% of maximum health each second while sprinting. Each additional copy adds another two percentage points per second. It does not lower skill cooldowns, grant a dash or make every movement action count as sprinting.
Check whether the skill you are using permits sprinting. If an attack cancels sprint, its attack window is different from the window in which the item heals you. Moving across the stage and moving while firing are not always the same condition.
What the conversion replaces
Bustling Fungus activates a nearby-allies zone after one second without moving. Weeping Fungus changes that condition to sprinting. You do not retain both effects from the same converted copies.
All held Bustling Fungi become Weeping Fungi, and future Bustling Fungus pickups are corrupted while the Void item is held. Inspect the existing inventory before collecting it; the conversion affects more than the single new icon being added.
Moving Survivors and stationary turrets
Huntress can use sprint-compatible attacks in her kit, making the movement condition worth checking alongside her selected skills. The Huntress guide discusses her fragile health pool and movement timing.
Stationary Engineer turrets do not sprint to sustain this effect. Converting their original Fungus support therefore removes the stationary healing network that the Engineer build relies on. A player who wants sprint healing may still need another way to keep those turrets alive.
Healing does not replace prevention
The item repairs health during a qualifying window. It does not stop the hit that damaged you. A sprint path that moves directly into another attack can lose more health than the item restores.
Choose a route that creates space and recovery together. Ordinary movement speed, an extra jump or a ready defensive skill can address a danger that another healing stack cannot. Also check Survivor-specific healing rules: Acolyte redirects ordinary healing through her passive, and Void Fiend's corruption cycle responds to healing.
Keep the decision specific
Take Weeping Fungus when sprinting is frequent and the stationary effect is not serving an essential role. Keep the original counterpart when stationary healing is doing the work your loadout needs.
The item database displays both effects and their corruption relationship separately. The recommendations here follow documented conditions and existing Survivor guides; no gameplay-tested healing uptime or universal priority is claimed.
