Overview

Plasma Shrimp supplies a shield and fires a missile from eligible hits while you have shield remaining. It corrupts AtG Missile Mk. 1, so collecting it changes both the trigger and the damage pattern of an existing missile inventory.

The shield condition is central

The item grants shield equal to 10% of maximum health. While shield remains, an eligible hit fires a missile for 40% TOTAL damage with one copy. Extra copies add another 40% TOTAL damage to the missile.

The shield grant does not grow by another 10% per copy. More Shrimp copies strengthen missiles, but do not independently create the same proportional increase in shield. Losing the shield turns off this missile effect until shield is restored.

Repeated hits and safe attack windows

A loadout that lands repeated eligible hits while protecting its shield can use repeated missiles. If shield is broken as soon as you begin attacking, the practical benefit is different from the description's best-case condition.

Positioning, movement and time to recharge are therefore damage support as well as defense. Describe the fight concretely: can you keep attacking without losing shield, or do you spend much of the encounter under sustained pressure?

What the AtG conversion removes

Plasma Shrimp corrupts all held AtG copies and future AtG pickups. AtG Missile Mk. 1 has a listed 10% chance and a 300% TOTAL missile at one copy, whereas Shrimp uses the shield condition and a different listed damage value.

A single successful AtG missile and many Shrimp missiles are different outcomes. Do not compare only the larger individual damage number or assume the original AtG missiles continue beside Shrimp after conversion.

Missile and shield support

Pocket I.C.B.M. supplies additional missiles, so it needs a missile source such as Shrimp or AtG to provide that part of its value. The item does not prevent your shield from breaking.

Personal Shield Generator and Transcendence alter the shield side of the inventory in different ways. Transcendence converts ordinary health into shields and changes recovery. Evaluate that complete health-and-recharge trade instead of treating it as a free missile upgrade.

Choose the missing function

Take Shrimp when the run benefits from repeated shield-gated missiles and can maintain their condition. Keep the ordinary counterpart when its original chance-based result fits better or shield uptime is unreliable. Also retain group damage if conversion leaves too much of the inventory aimed at one target.

The item database keeps the corruption relationship beside the effect and stacking fields. Its conditional fit is editorial reasoning from those mechanics; no unverified attack-rate calculation, measured DPS comparison or gameplay-tested shield uptime is claimed.
