Choose the run mode and starting level above, then add the milestones you expect to complete. The planner adds their documented gains and caps the result at eight. It shows cumulative Mithrix encounter changes, so an optional side route can be evaluated against the fight you plan to finish. Confirm the actual level in the game’s HUD.
Distinguish disabled Karma from starting at zero
In a standard run, disabling Karma prevents its encounter changes. Starting at zero enables the system and allows milestones to raise it. These are different lobby settings. Eclipse starts at Karma equal to the Eclipse level, while Simulacrum and Prismatic Trials keep Karma disabled. The Karma reference documents the lobby options and mode differences.
Higher starting levels also need to have been unlocked; changing this planner does not unlock a lobby setting. Winning with Karma enabled unlocks starting levels up to the Karma reached at the end of that run. The full Karma guide explains the zero-start unlock and winning-ending rules.
Count each milestone according to its trigger
Most gains are one point. False Son gives two. Once-per-run thresholds should be checked once, even if you add more qualifying items afterward. Repeatable events have a count input so a planned second loop or Artifact trial can be entered separately. The default normal-play x1 gain rules are used.
| Example | How to enter it |
|---|---|
| One player holds three Lunar items | Check the milestone once; three players with one Lunar item each do not meet it |
| One player reaches fifty counted items | Exclude Hexes, untiered objects, consumed forms and temporary items |
| One new loop | Enter one for the loop event, and increment for another planned loop |
| False Son defeated | Check the once-per-run event for two points |
| Void Fields started and completed | These are two separate one-point milestones |
Expansion events require their expansion to be enabled. Checking a Hallowed milestone while the expansion is disabled does not make it occur. The planner lists documented events and trusts the events you enter; it does not inspect an inventory or enforce the route’s physical feasibility. For the page and shrine requirements, use the Hallowed route planner.
Decide whether the reward fits the final fight
A side route can provide items or unlock progress while also raising Karma. That trade is sensible when the reward addresses a real weakness. It is less useful when it adds a harder final encounter without improving your movement, defensive plan or reliable damage. Use the build library to choose those priorities before selecting extra side events.
Karma effects accumulate. A five-Karma fight includes the earlier protective shell, speed and arena changes along with Karmic Spires. At eight, extra maximum health extends a fight that already carries those earlier changes. The tool therefore lists all applicable thresholds rather than displaying only the final level’s addition.
The protective shell limits hits during its active window. A large inventory should not be interpreted as permission to stand inside a hazard or ignore the phase transition. Read the Mithrix phase guide for movement, attack tells and the item-theft phase. The planner provides no DPS or win-probability prediction.
Handle Eclipse and skill challenges deliberately
Eclipse 8 begins at Karma 8. Extra milestone gains cannot push it past the cap, but the run still has Eclipse’s other restrictions. At Karma 6, the documented cooldown reduction does not stack with Eclipse 7’s enemy cooldown reduction; the other encounter effects continue to apply.
Commando’s Retribution challenge is specifically a Mithrix kill at eight Karma as Commando, including the required killing blow. A different winning ending can unlock a starting Karma option without completing that skill challenge. Read the exact challenge before treating a successful escape or obliteration as the same reward.
Planner questions
Why did the game show a different level?
Check missed milestones, once-per-run thresholds, the selected mode and any mods changing Karma rules. This planner uses the documented October 8 baseline; a patched rule or mod can change the result. The in-game value is authoritative for your run.
Does clearing the planner affect my game?
No. It removes only the entered milestone counts. It does not change a lobby, save, unlock or mod configuration.
