Use bonus maximum health to support False Son's Growth while keeping enough movement and ordinary damage to finish the run. Growth can enhance the skill plan, but collecting health alone does not solve slow travel, an unsafe laser channel or an enemy group that remains alive around you.
This survivor requires Seekers of the Storm. The default plan uses Club of the Forsaken, Lunar Spikes, Step of the Brothers and Laser of the Father. The October 8, 2026 patch fixed the laser's attack-speed scaling, so this guide evaluates attack speed with that current behavior instead of repeating advice based on the earlier bug.
Keep the spike stock and the engagement connected
Do not fire every spike automatically before deciding what the encounter needs. The passive state changes with stock, and the laser can refill spikes. Use ranged pressure to prepare a target or maintain a safer distance, then reassess stock and position when the next action becomes available.
Add Growth without replacing the rest of the build
Bison Steak supplies bonus maximum health, and Infusion can build that bonus as you secure kills. They are candidates for Growth when the run offers them. Infusion still needs time and kills to develop; collecting it late does not instantly provide its full potential.
Ordinary level-up health is not the bonus-health source used by Growth. Shield and temporary barrier also should not be counted as if every visible part of the health display provided the same effect. If you change an item that converts health into shield, recheck the skill plan rather than assuming the Growth contribution remains intact.
The next pickup decision is conditional. If you have enough damage but need more skill capacity, bonus health may be useful. If travel and retreat are weak, take movement. If enemies are surviving your useful attacks, buy damage instead of another health item. This avoids creating a large health bar around an otherwise unfinished loadout.
Make the heavy attacks safe enough to use repeatedly
Focus Crystal can support a deliberate close-range plan. Bands can reward qualifying heavy hits when offered. These are conditional damage opportunities rather than a promise that every club action will trigger the same follow-up. Check the hit and the item availability instead of assuming an unmeasured combo will clear the encounter.
Soldier's Syringe is a candidate for the current attack-speed behavior, and critical support can make Predatory Instincts relevant. More laser pressure is useful only if you can keep a good angle long enough to deliver it. Before channeling, identify cover, the target's movement and the utility direction you will use if the area becomes unsafe.
Paul's Goat Hoof, Energy Drink and Hopoo Feather can improve the route. Movement is valuable even when the health pool looks comfortable: reaching a new angle without absorbing several attacks can preserve more health than another speculative Growth purchase. The item guide explains the different damage, recovery and replacement triggers.
Choose alternate skills for a specific engagement
Lunar Stakes changes the ranged pattern and stock relationship. Laser Burst changes the special toward a different firing commitment. Meridian's Will changes the utility and the passive window. Each alternate has an unlock, so an available default route should remain usable while you work toward it.
Choose the alternate that addresses the failure you are seeing. If a long laser commitment repeatedly gets interrupted by your own need to move, a different special can be worth learning. If the primary issue is a poor channel location, changing the special without correcting the battlefield may preserve the same problem.
Do not chase an assumed health breakpoint or an exact stock count without checking the actual current inventory. This page leaves measured clear time and DPS unknown and does not invent a damage target to justify a particular number of Bison Steaks.
Protect the route under the selected mode
For Monsoon solo, keep damage and travel moving the run toward its objectives. A large inventory of health items is not an excuse to spend extra time in low-value areas. Use spikes for useful pressure and reserve a safe channel when the encounter permits it.
In co-op, teammates can draw attention or add damage, but a laser position still needs an exit if that attention changes. Do not depend on another player keeping every enemy facing away for the entire channel.
For Eclipse, avoiding the incoming hit is more reliable than absorbing it and repairing afterward. Recovery penalties make that distinction more costly. Read the Eclipse build guide before treating a health-heavy setup as a tested Eclipse solution. The recommendations here are based on documented mechanics, with no hands-on clear claimed.
References and recommendation limits
This guide uses the October 8, 2026 update baseline and was reviewed on October 13, 2026. Skill mechanics are referenced to the survivor wiki; item priorities, mode fit and stage decisions are recommendations inferred from those mechanics. No run was played or benchmarked for this guide. Clear time, DPS and success rate remain unknown.
Reference freshness: survivor mechanics use the October 12, 2026 wiki snapshot. The official October 8 update notes were checked on October 13; later live wiki revisions were not verified during this review.
